Richard A. Savage
Rich Savage has more than 30 years of executive leadership and proven success experience within the domestic and (Asian, European, Central and South America,) international aviation and air cargo industry.
Rich is a recognized industry senior executive, involved in the development of strategic planning, sales team management and technology solutions for both domestic US and international airline passenger and air cargo organizations, charter airline, regional carriers, and business jet experience.
Specific success and disciplines include leadership responsibilities for airline operations, airline sales, airline marketing and pricing, worldwide leadership of air cargo and trucking operations, air cargo training services, and aviation information technology development.
Rich's accomplishments include President and Chief Operating Officer of Express One International, one of the largest suppliers of ACMI charter aircraft, flying schedule service for Apple Vacations, Rosenbluth Travel, Adventure Tours, as well as UPS, FedEx, Airborne Express, and DHL International. President's role included all responsibility for airline operations, maintenance (both line and overhaul base), flight department, finance, airline sales and marketing, industry affairs, and FAA compliance and certification issues. Airline route network included US, Europe, Central America, Caribbean, Canada, and Australia and New Zealand.
As Vice President Houston Hub Operations for Continental Airlines, responsible for customer services, operations, ground handling, line maintenance, security, and cargo services. Houston was Continental's largest operation and revenue generator. Total staff included over 1,100, management team of 34 direct reports, and budget responsibility of $ 26 Million.
Since 1995 until joining OAG Worldwide as Vice President Cargo products, Rich has served as Founder and Vice President of a cargo technology division for the worlds leading aviation software development company, PROS Revenue Management. PROS client base includes 68% of world's airlines. Rich founded PROS cargo division from business plan concept to launch, recruited the senior management team, technical development team, and personally developed, and implemented an aggressive sales and marketing revenue and growth plan, resulting in successful contracts with six of the top ten global air carriers in the first two years, and double-digit growth years 1998 - 2001.
Earlier success included Managing Director Worldwide Cargo Services American Airline Cargo, Managing Director TWA Cargo Customer Services, Vice President Marketing and Pricing Pan Am Express, Vice President Customer Services Muse Air.
