Greg Greene, CPA
Greg Greene is in the Real Estate Advisory Group of Ernst & Young LLP.
As a member of the Transaction Advisory and Capital Markets team,
Greg is very active in structuring and financing real estate transactions across the country.
He has very significant experience in the area of real estate transaction advisory. This experience includes:
- structuring transactions, including synthetic leases and other off balance sheet structures as well as on balance
sheet financings. In this capacity, he has structured and financed nearly $2 billion in on and off balance sheet
transactions in the past three years.
- negotiating the underlying leases which (in most cases) support the financings
- providing guidance in the development of real estate finance strategies.
EXPERIENCE
Prior to his employment with Ernst & Young LLP, Greg was a vice president with a Dallas based site selection and development firm.
He spent nine years as a partner in a Dallas CPA firm. He has additional experience as the CFO of a real estate company and
started his career in the Business Advisory Group of a major international accounting firm. His real estate clients include
Dell, JDS Uniphase, Immunex, Citrix Systems, Genzyme, WorldCom, Blue Cross and Blue Shield and other (primarily publicly traded)
organizations.
EDUCATION
He holds the following degrees:
- Master of Business Administration (MBA), The University of Texas at Austin
- BS in Accounting, The University of Alabama
PROFESSIONAL
Greg is a licensed Certified Public Accountant in the state of Texas and also holds a Texas Real Estate Salesman license.
He has published numerous articles relating to financing issues and site selection in professional publications including
Site Selection, Commercial Mortgage Insight, Real Estate Newsline, Area Development, and Call Center magazines.
